Chail Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the region’s most peaceful natural escapes, known for its deodar and oak forests, scenic walking trails, and rich wildlife. In the older time, it was the hunting ground for the maharaja of Patiala, Bhupinder Singh. It is now a protected area where visitors may spot animals such as sambar, goral, wild boar, and Himalayan black bear, along with birds like the cheer pheasant and khalij pheasant.
